THE WIND CIRCULATION :

"The wind is going to the south and it is circling around to the north. Round and round it is continually circling, and right back to its circlinngs the wind is returning" Ecclesiastes 1 v 6

In the days this scripture was written (about 1000 B.C.E) no instruments were available to test the accuracy of the description of the circulation of the winds. To prove that wind patterns on the earth behaved in a circular pattern accurate clocks would be required so that all observations were made simultaneously. Then wind direction gauges and barometers were required. The barometer readings would make it possible to draw the circulation of a Depression or an Anticyclone that would normally cover a wide area , often over several countries . It is possible, although difficult, to draw the circulation from just wind guages, however in mountainous terrain and hot countries many local variations would occur . Making accurate wind guages would not have been possible until a few hundred years ago.We now have cross border sharing of weather data which was impossible in the time of Solomon.
